David,
Since you took the time to reply to my tweet, sort of, I’d like to ask you more. I’m intrigued by the concept of twitter, but still struggling to figure whether it is useful or useless. Honestly, why twitter? What do you get out of it? And I’m always curious about someone who would take the time to reply to a complete stranger…yes, I am doing that now, so please hold the “duh”. I know my reasons, what are yours?
Admittedly it seems like a stupid concept at first. As you get used to it and figure out the functionality, it get’s better. By the time you start using twit pic and mobile web and all the toys, it gets to be an addiction.
I like tweeting for the same reasons people enjoy any kind of blogging. It is also a great way to publicize my blog
Beyond that, once you start expanding your social network, you can meet some awesome people and make some really good friends.
Al I can say is give it a try and stick with it for a while. Give me a follow and I will follow you back
Twitter is fantastic! I have met some of the most amazing people through this network, that I would not have met otherwise. And who knows, maybe someday, you will have an IRL encounter. I’ve had several invitations, and actually followed through with a couple of them, and been enriched beyond measure!
Give it a chance, stick with the upbeat, positive types, have fun with it, and you will definitely have some good experiences.
And how would we ever have met Mr. Dave here if not for the Twitter?
Ciao!
